Korea Sings (original Korean Idol) has been a popular KBS (Korean Broadcast Station) program for over several decades. In 2007, the KBS production team along with over 10 singers came to NY from Seoul, Korea. Over 300 teams/singers auditioned at Daedong Manor, Flushing, NY. From 67 teams who were called back, over 2 dozen teams competed in the final in Eisenhower Park, Harry Chapin Theater. There were over 10,000 Koreans gathered and Soh Young & Friends became the Grand Prize winner.
It has been 13 years since the following competition at Eisenhower Park on September 26, 2007. Recently the following was on YouTube. You will enjoy the comical event although the event was in Korean.
