Korean Foundation Day 2024

On October 3rd, 2024, we had the pleasure of being a part of the Korean Flag Raising down at the iconic Bull statue of Wall Street. The festivities were sponsored by the NYC Bowling Green Association to celebrate Foundation of Korea in 4,600 B.C.E.. For those of you who are math challenged, that is approximately 6,400 years ago. There was no shortage of dignitaries in attendance. We had the Consul Generals of both the Republic of Korea and of Türkiye, Several Korean association presidents, as well as, NYC Commissioners. The kicker was the attendance and speech by the Honorable Mayor Eric L. Adams, the 110th Mayor of the city of New York. The anthems were sung of both countries by our President Soh Young Lee-Segredo as the flags were raised. A good time was had by all.
